Forever Bride is still swooning over the newest trends from Bridal Fashion Week 2015. The top talent in the bridal fashion industry have amazed admirers once again, bringing a new twist to an industry that has been around long enough to have an exceptional following. Some may wonder how one can bring something new to a industry of white dresses. We then remember how drastically different our mothers’ wedding gowns were with the giant sleeves (yeah, we’re pointing at you 1980s) and high collared lace dresses. Floral
Floral shined in a variety of ways with appliques, lace, patterns and beading. There are a couple unique ways designers incorporated floral into their gowns this year. The visionary Randi Rham (left) brought light shades of purple, green and pink into a delicate floral design of a flirty peplum ball gown. Jim Hjelm (right) utilized floral inspiration for the soft, romantic shrug on the Georgette A-line gown. If you adore the Georgette gown on the right, you are in luck! Crop Tops
Crop tops and two pieces are big trends in summer fashion and it’s hardly surprising to see it come into the world of bridal fashion. If you’re daring and don’t mind showing a little skin, this is a trend to consider! llusion Necklines
llusion necklines and sleeves are the real deal for Fall 2016. Many designers have picked up on this trend in the past couple years and now it’s being perfected. Maggie Sottero, a favorite for the lace loving bride, brings a delicate illusion neckline with organic lace on her Noelle gown (right). Color
Wedding gowns have become more daring over the years through low back, short dresses, and in the past couple years we have seen colors popping up. Yes, colors in an industry of white dresses! Lazaro (left) brings a blush and pink tulle/chiffon ball gown to the runway with a slightly draped skirt. These pinky tones are perfect for the bride that feels like stepping out of the box, but still being traditional. Claire Pettibone intrigued Bridal Fashion Week goers with black accents in cowboy hats, cowboy boots, and belts. Then, she stuns us with a black lace gown (right) with a champagne underlay. Black is a new trend and although it may not be for everyone, the non-traditional bride who’s looking to personalize her grown might find her dream dress with this growing trend.
