This past week, our fearless leader (and Chief Business Officer, if you want to get technical), Elina Vilk, sat down with Glossy Co. Editor-in-Chief Jill Manoff on The Glossy Fashion Podcast to talk all things Pearl by David’s. They discussed Bridal Christmas (wait, what?!), Elina’s background (not actually in retail), and of course: how technology simplifies the wedding planning industry!
WHAT IS PEARL BY DAVID’S?

We’re excited about the opportunity to simplify wedding planning with AI—ahh, so scary, we know—to transform the way we do events. In 2024 and beyond, engaged couples are facing a paradox of choice. “You get to be a part of someone’s joy. And you get to make it easier and better for the bride,” says Elina.
A part of this new approach to wedding planning isn’t actually that new at all—the bride. About 90% of brides are already visiting David’s Bridal at some point in their wedding planning journey, whether that traffic is coming from social media, our website, or of course—our physical stores. One in three brides across the US purchase their wedding dress at David’s Bridal, and now we want to be there throughout the entire journey—from the “yes!” (checklist: time to find your LWD for an engagement party!), to the “I do!” (wait, what kind of favors will you have?).
