Summer Engagement Session in a Garden

Our very own Forever Bride team member, Kristen is getting married in just a short couple weeks! We are so excited for her to marry her man, and let’s face it––we’re looking forward to pulling out our dance moves on the floor. Talk about a big Forever Bride party!! But most importantly, we are thrilled to support Kristen as she becomes a Mrs. We love her because she is an incredible saleswoman, person, and friend. She personally sits down with vendors over coffee, gets to know them and decides whether or not they’d be a good fit for our Forever Bride family (we ONLY feature the best + most trusted wedding professionalson our website).

When her engagement photos from Brett & Janelle Photography first rolled in, our whole team was shrieking “oohs” and “awws” as we all gathered over to a computer screen. We love love – especially when it’s one of our very own!

And you know what’s just as cute? Their love story and how they first met.

Story time…

Kristen was living in San Francisco as a college student and a waitress. She was waitressing at a restaurant called The Republic in a popular city neighborhood.

Born and raised in Minnesota, Mike was transferred to San Francisco for work and had only known one person in San Fransisco (a guy who played basketball in college with his brother, Luke). Luke had picked Mike up from the airport and immediately took him out to eat dinner. The decided to dine at The Republic that late Sunday evening.

Kristen, who was in the midst of finals, had been working all morning and the night server called in sick so she had to stay and work a double. At the time, she wasn’t too excited about that, but little did she know that night she was about to meet her future husband.

And guess what?! Fun fact: Kristen was the first girl Mike talked to off the airplane, aka the first girl he talked to in San Francisco. She jokes with us that he gave in too soon. 😉

*Cue the beginning of your own “oohs” and “awws” as you scroll through the photos. SPOILER ALERT: They’re adorable and we’re counting down the days until their wedding!
