Nathan proposed to Bethany on Thursday, May 17th 2018 at 7:00am. When did Nathan start planning out his game plan? About 8:00PM on Wednesday, May 16th – less than 12 HOURS before the actual proposal! He knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
First things first, he reached out to Saige. Saige said, “It had been around a year since we had last seen each other. Out of nowhere on that Wednesday night, he texted me about a “huge question” “” and NO JOKE, I had this GUT FEELING he was going to propose to his girlfriend and wanted me to capture it.” Nathan told Saige how he was all ready – he had the ring and talked to her family – and was so excited to make it happen!
On Wednesday evening, Nathan, his friends and family, and Saige picked flowers to set the scene. The proposal would take place on a dock behind Nathan’s house. Soon, everything was ready for a stunning early morning sunrise proposal. (Can you say, goals?!) Everyone re-met up again at 6:00AM on Thursday. Nathan had told Bethany to meet at his house in the morning the night before, texting her, “Come over for breakfast at my place at 7am”¦ I’m going to dress nice so look cute!”
The next day Nathan was super nervous as the proposal got closer and closer! Saige says, “See the screenshot of the text he sent me”¦ LOL.”
Once Bethany arrived, she and Nathan made their way down to the dock. She still doesn’t know she’s about to have the sweetest proposal!
Once they reach the end, the rest is history. Bethany was so surprised, and her expressions show how happy she was! After the proposal, Bethany told Saige, “At first, I just thought he was being romantic and this was a cute date.” The entire moment was priceless and captures how strong of a connection Bethany and Nathan have! Bethany stepped foot on that dock with her boyfriend and left with a FIANCÉ.
As they walked back to the house they were welcomed with lots of love from his momma. *cue the tears*
You can tell she is so proud of her son and soon to be daughter-in-law! What a moment.
