ICYMI (somehow), Selena Gomez got engaged last year with a seriously stunning custom marquise cut engagement ring, and we just know that’s gonna be a major moment in the coming years. But not everyone will be rocking pointed oval diamonds—so here are our favorite 2025 engagement rings trends for the next year of yesses!

1. Marquise Cut Engagement Rings
Thanks to a Mr. Benny Blanco and Ms. Selena Gomez, marquise cut rings are going to be a huge 2025 engagement ring trend. The appeal of the slightly vintage, slightly oval, slightly pear-shaped engagement ring is undeniable—and it’s no question Benny has good taste (in both rings and fiancés)!

2. Lab-Grown Diamond Engagement Rings
So seriously, what are lab-grown diamonds? Well like the name implies, they are diamonds that are grown in a laboratory environment rather than out in the wild—but they’re chemically and physically identical to natural diamonds (and a whole lot cheaper!). We see these wallet- and environmentally-friendly diamonds being a big hit in 2025 and beyond.

3. Vintage-Inspired Engagement Rings
The latest modern trend? Vintage! They’ve started to pop up in engagements in the past few years, but we’re looking forward to seeing more vintage-inspired engagement rings with heirloom cuts like Asscher and cushion cut stones with intricate settings.

4. Wavy Band Engagement Rings
This year, we’re holding space for wavy band engagement rings. Say so long to the straight bands you know and love (or maybe don’t!) to welcome in intriguing shapes and funky design.

5. Three Stone Engagement Rings
A reversal of the past several years of simple bands and single stones, 2025 will be filled with three-stone engagement rings!
