Our very own Brittany of Simply Gypsy Weddings is getting married! Ditching a traditional bridal shower, her MOH came up with a “Slumber Party” theme and ran with it.Because what better way to celebrate than snuggling in your cozy pajamas and grabbing your best girlfriends? Mimosas, brunch, PJs, pillows, and blankets included. They picked up fresh flowers from a local farmers market in the morning and decorated the rented space at the Forage in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with the blooming beauties.
In the midst of the slippers and blankets, games (such as Wedding MadLibs and He Said She Said) were enjoyed and presents were given. Brittany returned the love to her friends and gifted her bridesmaids with custom water bottles, custom jewelry pieces, and robes from Oh Sugar Studio(get 1 free here).
Brittany writes: “I wanted it to be fun and beautiful, but also something that was real and not all styled to perfection. Our music came from a phone playlist and the balloons kept falling off the wall. We were scheduled to follow up the brunch with a trip floating down the Chippewa River on some cute floaties, but it rained so we went bowling! It was a fun day, and a very cool way to hang out with all my favorite people and celebrate!”
Capturing all the fun and laughs, Cranberries and Tea Photography snapped photos and even made a little video [scroll down to the bottom to watch]. So, whether you’re in your pajamas or not, we cordially invite you to be showered in inspiration!
We’ll take some mimosas, please! *girl raising hand emoji*
We’re convinced that you can never go wrong with brunch, no matter the occasion. If you’re reading this and nodding your head + jumping up and down (okay, maybe we’re exaggerating a little), you’ll ADORE this brunch wedding – one of our very own Forever Bride team member’s wedding! Go look at it and try telling us it isn’t the BEST THING EVER.
Okay, this looks like too much fun!
So so so pretty!!
YUM YUM YUM
One of Brittany’s sisters, a bridesmaid, had her birthday a few days earlier, so they surprised her with a little donut cake and a song.
We love all the laughter that seeps through every photo! A wedding just isn’t the same without girlfriends. FUN FACT: Did you know that originally, bridesmaids would wear the same dress as the bride? It was so that they could confuse evil spirits of who the bride was. Weird, right?! Just wait till you read these other wedding tradition origins.
Join us in congratulating Brittany on her engagement! Or if you’re looking for a planner, she’s your girl! She’s even offering a special deal to help you save money.
