My FIRST wedding was so interesting and I find it so funny. The reception was held at Crayola World in the Mall of America. I was SOOO nervous to see how it would turn out since its a play area for children. I didn’t know what to expect so I brought extra flash sets with me and the batteries ran out the first 2 hours of me being there. I was mortified! The lighting was so challenging & I had my husband drive all the way from home (Plymouth) to the Mall to get me extra batteries. It definitely was quite an experience for my first wedding.

We were shooting a wedding in a beautiful church. Everyone was on their best behavior and the bridal party was feeling a little tense. I decided to drop to the floor in order to capture the peak at the front of the church with the bridal party. I snapped a couple of frames and then back somersaulted down the aisle camera in hand. The bridal party burst out laughing and shouting “Zoolander”. BOOM! Just like that the rest of our photographs were genuine, relaxed, and fun! That was a fantastic day! (Side note: I had to watch Zoolander after that wedding day!)
