Alexia and Nate had a “preppy chic” wedding celebration set in the perfect industrial wedding location. This wedding is extra special due to Alexia being of Whimsy Events & Design – one of Forever Bride’s Minnesota VIB Providers! Of course, Whimsy did all the wedding floral, wedding design and wedding styling for Alexia’s day. They made sure to infuse the event with the couples fun sense of humor and modern aesthetic. The whole event took place in the Day Block Building in downtown Minneapolis. The wedding ceremony was both humorous and heartfelt.
Family was a big part of the ceremony, the Groom’s cousin officiated the wedding while the Bride’s father came up to do a reading of Dr. Seuss’ “Oh The Places You’ll Go,” love was in the air. Over a thousand cranes hung from the ceremony ceiling making the perfect backdrop for their city affair.
The guests enjoyed cocktail hour with signature cocktails for the newlyweds. For the men, “The Giddy Groom” a Makers Mark Manhattan and for the ladies, “The Bushing Bride” a pink passion-fruit cocktail. The wedding guests enjoyed sweeping views of the beautiful downtown Minneapolis while taking in the slideshow of old wedding pictures from family members. After the champagne toast everyone danced the night away, but not before a surprise performance by the Bride, of Dust Springfield’s “Wishin and Hopin.” Overall, it was a night to remember.
