If classy + vintage is your thing, you will love this wedding and its beautiful details. Held at the American Swedish Institute, Brooke and Andrew celebrated their wedding day with an intimate wedding ceremony.

They incorporated a classy touch of elegant vintage with hints of romance. Instead of colors, they featured textures and highlighted personal touches that reflected them as individuals and as a couple.

One of Brooke’s highlights was the first look with her dapper groom. They had been wanting to get married for several years, so it was extra special to finally have the big day arrive.

“Our wedding really felt like a special climax to a new beautiful life together.”

The bride and groom opted for a family-only wedding party. They also had custom rings and apparel and a live cellist for the ceremony.

Their wedding day was extra special because it was the bookmark of their 6 year anniversary of being together.

The beautiful cream colored walls, large windows, and natural light streaming in were some of the reasons the couple chose this gorgeous venue. They also noted it was the perfect size for their small ceremony.

“The ceremony is not only about the commitment that we made to each other as a couple but also that our family/friends there were witnesses to uphold and be there for us as a married couple going forward.”

This beautiful couple both work in the wedding and food/beverage industry, so many of their vendors doubled as their friends.

“One of the best things about having a wedding is having so many people you love all in the same place.”

Wide-eyed over these bouquets? Ann of The Flower Fades creates the most striking yet simple floral designs.

“We loved that the ceremony was early in the day (11am) so that we could have a lunch and champagne toast and then ample time to enjoy the afternoon before the reception at 6. It was so wonderful to really take in the day without being rushed.”

These two are so sweet.

Another highlight of the day? The lovebirds tell us that the bed and breakfast owners of 300 Clifton drove them to the reception in their 1940s English taxi. How special!! It complements their vintage elegance theme so well.

Their small reception was held at Volstead’s Emporium. With only family and close friends, they had a relaxed, intimate celebration.

Both Brooke + Andrew are workers in the food and beverage industry. So they took it into their own hands to create a special dinner menu and bar menu for their reception.

“For our wedding favors, we gave out bundles that included a small bottle of a Vieux Carre cocktail (his) and homemade shortbread cookies (hers).”

Brooke shares great advice for brides who are currently planning their wedding: “Really think about why you’re doing one thing or another, and if it fits who you are as a couple. There’s so much pressure and expectations when it comes to weddings, and I think it helps to focus on what you want out of the day instead of what is normally done. We decided to not have a processional since our ceremony was so small. It worked out really well, but just took some extra thinking to figure out the format.”
