Sometimes it takes a 3,000 hand beaded wedding gown, marble invitations, and a whole lot of white to create the dream wedding.
At the end of 2012, Jordan and Gabriela’s love story began. Jordan saw a photo of Gabriela on Instagram and made it his phone wallpaper a month before he found her on Instagram. Once he followed her, Gabriela noticed immediately and couldn’t get over how handsome he was. She sent a photo of him to her friend Nicole, gushing about him!
He would leave comments and like her photos, and eventually added her on Facebook. Gabriela admits that she is a private person and only adds people that she knows, however, after two weeks of ignoring Jordan’s friend request, she finally decided to accept.
Jordan messaged her first and they messaged for about a month. She finally gave him her number after he begged for it everyday. He never gave up because he said that she was his dream girl. Gabriela shares that “he told me a month after we met, that he was going to marry me.”
Three months later, Gabriela was offered a job and they moved to Melbourne together. They were “inseparable and the best of friends.”
Bicentennial park was their special spot and it was only a short walk away. They would go for walks there and talk about their future plans.
Their anniversary is November 16th, however, Gabriela’s sister in law’s birthday is the day before, so Gabriela canceled their dinner reservations. On November 29th, Jordan asked Gabriela where she wanted to go for dinner because he felt bad they didn’t get to celebrate. Jordan booked the restaurant that they were suppose to go to for their anniversary. It was a late dinner, so they didn’t leave until 11:30pm.
It was a gorgeous and perfect night. Jordan wanted to go for a walk after dinner, so they went to their favorite spot, Bicentennial park. They walked around discussing their future plans, but Jordan was extra romantic. He was hugging her, kissing her, telling her how much he loved her and couldn’t wait to start a family with her.
It was now about 12:30pm, and Gabriela suggested that they should start walking home because it was late. Their last conversation was one to remember. Jordan was talking about how he was going to propose and Gabriela shared her idea of a perfect proposal. Gabriela wanted “something intimate, just us together doing something we love and I wanted a surprise.” At that moment, Jordan stopped walking. He dropped on one knee, pulled out the ring box and opened it and said, “Is this enough of a surprise for you? Gabriela, I love you, will you please be my wife?” Through the tears and smiles, Gabriela said the easiest “yes” of her life.
As Gabriela and Jordan planned their wedding, they wanted an intimate and timeless vibe. Their theme was predominantly white with the hints of gold and marble. They chose marble invitations through their wedding website. Their table decor and cake had gold, the candles and bridal party dresses were white, but the most important detail was Gabriela’s wedding dress.
This dress is a dream. Gabriela’s vision was something modern and a bit sexy. She wanted “a designer from inter-state who was upcoming and not as well known as the typical sydney boutiques.” Her dress was made from a soft tulle and hand beaded with over 3,000 pearls It was floor length, long sleeve, and sheer. The train and veil were five meters long.
Gabriela looked gorgeous and we can’t get over it.
Their wedding was absolutely stunning. Image Haus did an AMAZING job capturing Gabriela and Jordan’s special day.
