There’s just something about a barn wedding that guarantees romance no matter what! Robert + Kristen took full advantage of their beautiful surroundings at Legacy Hill Farm (in Welch, Minnesota) by creating an atmosphere that was warm, fun-filled and inviting with the natural beauty. From the flowers, dresses, and down to the venue, this wedding is hands down stunning.

Christina Erickson ofSteena Anne Photography was there to capture the day. Christina tells us, “Robert + Kristen were a joy to work with from the moment we met for coffee. Kristen was smiling the whole time we sat and talked over photo schedules and family shot lists. Nothing changed when I saw her on her big day at Legacy Hill Farm in Welch, Minnesota. Everything was drop-dead gorgeous: the barn loft getting ready space, the big windswept curtains detailing the reception, the bountiful bouquet designed by Bel Fiore; it was all somewhat magical. But nothing was as beautiful as Kristen – her heart big and open to everyone, including all of the vendors and helpers of her big day. It made us all want to work a little harder, just to make this one of the best days of her life.

The ceremony went off without a hitch – even though it was upwards of 90 degrees in total sun. The amount of sun hats in the crowd gave the wedding a quaint, classic feel – much fitting for the French inspired venue. And do these two know how to throw a reception! Guests were constantly entertained while they ate their food. From trivia, through speeches and dances, to watching all of the groomsmen hit on all the bridesmaids during a skit, and ending with an epic dance party in the barn. There were so many tears and moments of laughter – and this time, not just from Robert and Kristen.”

And can we talk about this bridesmaids? They all cried when they saw Kristen. They were a testament to the beauty and community that one person can draw to themselves.”

Christina also shares, “Robert and Kristen were naturals at being in front of a camera. I over-delivered on this wedding just because every single photograph I took felt intimate and real. You could feel the love and respect that they had towards one another. Kristen shed a couple tears during couple portraits when we had a quiet moment. I don’t think she could quite contain how much love and thankfulness she felt towards Robert.”
