Jade and Adam first bonded over their mutual love for Star Wars on their first date. “I asked Adam if he was as excited as I was for the release of Star Wars: A Force Awakens, which was magic to his ears and the rest was history,” said Jade. So when it came time to plan their wedding, they knew they wanted their wedding to reflect the love they shared for the movie series. Not only did they choose to get married on the official Star Wars day, May the Fourth (…be with you, get it?), there are subtle Star Wars details in almostevery aspect of the wedding, from the signature drinks, the Old Millennium Falcon and Mandalorian Mule, down to the hand-painted coasters donning Star Wars symbols. The groom’s mother and aunt even created a gorgeous backdrop andprovided the guests with light sabers that lit up the dance floor.

One of the most important parts of the wedding for Jade and Adam was including their beloved Yorkie, Ted, who they’d just found out had cancer and a short life expectancy.
“Every night for months prior to the wedding, I would sit down with Ted and asked for him to stay strong and to keep fighting,” said Jade.
“Our dear boy did as he was told and held on for as long he could. With heavy hearts we sadly had to let our beloved dog go the morning after the wedding. He succumbed to the cancer, but before he did, Ted gave us beautiful wedding memories that we will forever cherish.”
