What could be a better way to kick off the Fall season than landing the cover of a highly recognized Midwest bridal magazine? Um…nothing? Unless you handed me that issue + a pumpkin spice latte, then that would be better.
That is exactly how Forever Bride kicked off September; by gracing the cover of Dainty Obsessions. If you haven’t heard of Dainty Obsessions, stop what you are doing and check them out. (seriously, right now, click on that link) Dainty Obsessions is a Midwest bridal magazine that drives to inspire all things wedding and love. From engagement shoots and stories to DIY and meet and greet stories of local Midwest businesses, DO (Dainty Obsessions) has it all.
When Alana Synder, Dainty’s hilarious publishing editor, first emailed Forever Bride in regards to a collaboration opportunity, we were beyond thrilled. When they said we could plan it with our Forever Bride vendor roster and style it we jumped right out of seats to start location scouting.
Our photographer, Nicole of NYLONSADDLE Photography was also 8.999 months pregnant as well. Whew, what a trooper!
“˜Something Blue’ was inspired by the blue wedding dress comeback. The idea that wedding planning is not constrained by anything, not even the notorious white gown. This got our wheels spinning. Planning out the shoot with Wynee Reece, owner of La vie Charmé Events, we decided on also coloring outside of the lines and instead of pairing our stunning blue Claire Pettibone gowns with the standard blush and champagne we opted to go for even more color. Lavender accents, mint hues and an abundance of deep kelly green woods set the scene and our color palette.
An organic and earthy feel of florals and location mixed with the delicacy of the details and the wedding dress created the perfect pair for “˜Something Blue’. Nicole Feest of NYLONSADDLE Photography shoots in a style all of her own and that is exactly what we needed for this non-traditional styled shoot.
Oh yeah, did we mention there were horses!?
