If you’re a Swiftie, a fan of the NFL, or just a human being, odds are you’ve heard all about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce courtship over the last year and a half. Well, now there are rumors that things are heating up for Tayvis. Speculation began this week over an alleged engagement for the two, with photos from her Eras Tour themed birthday party looking somewhat…suspicious!
The Rumors
One eagle-eyed fan posted a photo to her own Instagram stories claiming it looked like Taylor’s ring finger (on that hand!) had been blurred.
When asked why Taylor wouldn’t just take off her ring for the party, the poster replied, “Because wearing an engagement ring after getting engaged at a party celebrating you sounds like the most perfect night ever!” And honestly, we couldn’t agree more!
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Relationship
It all began back in July 2023 at the height of Taylor’s record-breaking Eras tour. Travis was in the audience for the Kansas City, MO show, and even made a friendship bracelet—a staple for Eras tour concert-goers—that included his phone number, as he shared on the July 26 episode of his podcast New Heights (which he shares with his brother, a fellow NFL star—now retired Philadelphia Eagle, Jason Kelce).
It wasn’t long before the pair were spotted together, with Taylor notably showing up at the Kansas City Chiefs game on September 24, 2023, at Arrowhead Stadium alongside Travis’s mom, Donna Kelce.
From there, the two have seemed inseparable, enjoying cozy dinners, trips to the US Open Finals, and even Travis’s third Super Bowl win in February 2024.
Why We Think Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ARE Engaged
Aside from the fact that this pair has been nothing but totally loved up for the last 18 months, here are a few reasons why we think Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are indeed engaged!
- The Photos: It’s pretty undeniable—photos of that certain ring finger do look blurred!
- The Timeline: According to an internal study by The Knot, the average length most couples wait before getting engaged is around 15 months to two years, so these two are right on the money.
- The Chemistry: There’s no doubt these two have some serious rapport—some may say it’s So High School (sorry, we had to).
But What Will She Wear?
Now we’re up for a little speculation of our own. Like, what kind of bride will Taylor be? What style dress would she wear? Will her bridal party include bestie Selena Gomez, who also just got engaged?!

If you’re holding out for an official engagement party, we could totally see Taylor rocking this LWD to celebrate her (alleged!) engagement to Travis Kelce. She loves a good corset moment, and these pearl-embellished block heels are totally up her alley.
