If you’re wondering who designed the bride’s and bridemaids’ stunning dresses, well… She did! Brit is the designer and creative director at Daughters of Simone, where you’ll find wedding dresses for the non-traditional.

Friends and family had an incredibly memorable time at this festival-inspired wedding in the middle of nowhere of beautiful California. Why in such a remote location? We’ll let the beautiful bride herself explain:

“One of Jeff and I’s favorite things to do, on a free weekend, is to get out of dodge and go camping. One of these trips we discovered this remote meadow. It wasn’t on the itinerary but we decided to stop anyway and go explore. For anyone who has ever stumbled upon a remote meadow while hiking it’s somewhat of a magical experience. Out of the thickness of tall trees, as far as the eye can see, the wilderness opens up to a clearing of sunny grass and wildflowers aplenty. All you want to do is go running into it, roll around a bit, and just stay awhile”¦ We thought, “Wow, wouldn’t it be so great to get married in a place like this?” This sentiment never left our minds after that day and so when we eventually got engaged we both went straight to work looking for our wedding meadow oasis.”

“A festival aspect we wanted to incorporate into the wedding weekend were the various activities one can find at a festival. Anything from yoga in the morning, to a farmers market, to a arts and craft tent, etc. We had bow and arrow targets, arts and crafts, bocci ball, corn hole, and star gazing. The morning of the wedding the guys also went on a day hike up to the highest peak over looking the meadow. Others went running, or went out into the wildflowers and ate their breakfast picnic style.”
